YORKVILLE, IL- Yorkville High School senior, MacKenzie Lee (also goes by “Mackie”), signed her NLI (National Letter of Intent) Wednesday, Feb 4th, 2015.
Lee, Goalie, is committed to play Womens’ Soccer for Northern Illinois University (DI). Mackenzie has started for Yorkville on varsity since her first game as a freshman and hold numerous school records:
- “Most saves during one season in program history.”
- “Most saves in a high school career in program history.”
- “Most shutouts during one season in program history.”
- “Most shutouts in a high school career in program history.”
2013 (sophomore season):
- Games Played/Started: Played keeper in 20 of 21 games, started in 17 of those.; G/Allowed: Played 1,205 minutes in net, allowing 48 goals; GA Avg.: 3.19 per 80 mins played; Shutouts: 3 solo shutouts, 1 more combined shutout
Highlights (shutout streaks, etc.): Had 11 games in which she gave up 1 or fewer goals. Allowed only 1 goal in the final three games of the season, prior to our regional final loss. In our DeKalb Barbfest tournament, she allowed only 1 goal in a combined 3 of our 4 games.
Awards: First-Team All-Conference, team captain, DeKalb Barbfest All-Tourney award recipient
Highlights (i.e. Conference Champions, Regional Runner-Up, 4th at state): Regional Runner-Up; 3rd place finish in our only in-season tournament, DeKalb Barbfest

- Games Played/Started: Played keeper in 15 of 21 games, started in 14 of those.; G/Allowed: Played 1,089 minutes in net, allowing 29 goals; GA Avg.: 2.13 per 80 mins played; Shutouts: 5 solo shutouts, 1 more combined shutout
Highlights (shutout streaks, etc.): Had 8 games in which she gave up 1 or fewer goals (more than half the games she was in net this season). Shutouts in 3 straight games and 4 of 5 games, within first 7 games of the season. In our DeKalb Barbfest tournament, she had a shutout in 2 of the 3 games we played in it.
Awards: First-Team All-Conference, team captain

“Although I do not have a stat for saves, Mackie made an incredible number of saves each year, with some outstanding diving saves and stops during one-on-one fast breaks by the opponent. Many times I would receive compliments after a game from opposing coaches, players, fans, as well as the officials.
